Sport is king in Granada. The city boasts a variety of city wide gyms, public pools, soccer fields and basketball courts. The nearby Sierra Nevada mountains offer skiing and snowboarding in winter on 45 miles of slopes at the tallest ski station in Spain, altitude of 10,000 feet. Summer offers mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and rock climbing opportunities all less than 45 minutes outside of Granada. If you prefer water sports, head to the beaches of Granada or to the Costa del Sol, offering swimming, or windsurfing and kite surfing for the more adventurous. |
