Put your Spanish to use! We offer two types of excursions: cultural and sporting, designed to immerse you in all that Granada and Andalusia have to offer.

Cultural Excursions
Each weekend we take off to explore Andalusia, famous crossroad of cultures and civilizations. Together we visit the historic cities of the Spanish interior as well as local villages hardly changed over the centuries.

Sporting Excursions
At Instituto Babel, we are very sporty, dedicated to enjoying a wide variety of year round sports. We organize weekly trips to the Sierra Nevada mountains, a summer and winter playground for hiking, skiing and snowboarding. During the hot summers, the coast is nearby with beaches made for volleyball, snorkeling, windsurfing or just simply for soaking up the famous Spanish sun.
Excursion 1- Kite Surfing / Windsurfing courses – 3 days

The city of Tarifa, the European meca for windsurfing and kite surfing. Tarifa is one of the best sites world wide to learn with winds suited to every level. |

Roundtrip transport to Tarifa (3 hours), 12 hours of instruction and equipment use, 2 nights of Camping, 2 breakfasts, 3 meals |
| Day 1 |
Friday morning departure.* Arrival in Tarifa 3 hours later, set up of camp site and lunch. Then we head to the beach for your first lesson (4 hours). Return to camp site for a BBQ dinner. (*Friday’s Spanish course will be offered Thursday afternoon, so you won’t miss a thing!) |
| Day 2 |
Morning of beach sports (volleyball, Frisbee, kites, badminton…) Kite surfing/Windsurfing in the afternoon (4 hours). On your own for dinner and explorations in the town of Tarifa. |
| Day 3 |
Morning of beach sports (volleyball, Frisbee, kites, badminton…) Kite surfing/Windsurfing in the afternoon (4 hours). Return to Granada. |

Almost nothing, a sleeping bag and sunscreen!!! |

Early morning departure in car or bus. One hour later we arrive at the slopes. 70 km (45 miles) of pure snow. |

| Day 1 |
Saturday morning departure. During the hike, you will be introduced to the flora and fauna of the valley, with explanations of geological formations and local legends explained by your guide. At night, we will set up camp or sleep in one of the many mountain refuges (an unforgettable experience). |
| Day 2 |
Tranquil breakfast followed by packing up camp, then we hit the trail again. We return to the car around 6pm and arrive in Granada by 8:30. |
